Albert Park Foot Clinic welcomes Louise Muir onboard. Louise graduated in Podiatry in Edinburgh in Scotland in 2002 and is an experienced and intuitive Podiatrist who is a registered member of the Australian Allied Health Practitioners Regulatory Authority (AHPRA).
Louise was inspired to study Podiatry having had an experience with a Podiatrist as a child with foot pain and being given orthotics that helped immensely.
Louise is passionate about the holistic treatment and care of foot pathologies and about decreasing the impacts of these on the overall wellness of her patients.
Louise is specifically interested in the maintenance of pain free gait and ambulation and in minimising gait pathology and functional limitations to enable optiml foot health and facilitate exercise, health, fitness and independence.
Louise has practiced over her twenty years in many different settings including Scotland’s National Health Service, Community and Not-For-Profit Health in Melbourne and Private Practices in Melbourne and Tasmania.
Louise’s expertise lies in the treatment of general podiatric pathologies and in diabetic foot care, wound care and nail surgery. She is also passionate about gait analysis and biomechanical assessment.
When not treating Louise is a keen hiker and has enjoyed touring around Victoria and Tasmania walking beautiful tracks. Louise also loves swimming and the cafe culture of Melbourne which keeps her hooked on this city.
